Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, I grew up with a vibrant and dynamic borderland culture. Business and entrepreneurship have been ever-present in my life through my father's management company, MRG of Texas. Growing up with the combination of these influences have taught me to be a proficient and adaptive communicator as I encounter people of all domographics.
El Paso is home to Fort Bliss, the largest military base in teh U.S. I grew up in the company of international military families and the colorful cultures they share with us. This experience only adds to my passion for travel and discovery of a world outside of my current understanding. These relationships have broadened my views and opened doors that stretch across oceans.
My world is centered around family and friends. This made the conquest of moving away from home more difficult, especially since I am the first of my family to leave home in educational pursuit. Fortunately, the St. Edwar's and Austin community made this a smooth transition as they welcomed me. As I've immersed myself into this new chapter of life, every day has been a learning experience and I'm excited to continue on this path of discovery.
Another great influence in my life has been the learning disabilities I once struggled with. Ironically, reading and writing became an outlit for comping and self-expression. During my freshman year of high school, I learned to successfully maneuver aroudn my disabilities and used the lessons they taught me as tool for a successful future. This grew into a deep passion of mine as I ventured to help struggling students to find their inner strength. I was awarded for my leadership and advocacy efforts in high school the Angel Wing Award. It has been of the msot rewarding experiences of my life and has demonstrated the value of hard work and perseverance.
I enjoy creative expression through writing and photography. These passions were introduced to be at a young age, and I ran with them! I enjoy living in a digital where these arts can be shared and discovered instantaneously with social media. The world can be discovered at the tip of a finger, and mastering this tool will generate endless opportunities.
